Learn more about supporting BAFTS as a Cultural and Heritage Organisation, an individual or non-trading group.

Friends of BAFTS

We are keen to connect with the huge network of Fair Trade supporters and campaigning groups around the country and invite you to become a Friend of BAFTS to continue to strengthen the Fair Trade movement across the UK.

Cultural and Heritage Organisations

We’re building connections with galleries, museums, cathedrals and other cultural and heritage sites across the UK.

To join as a Cultural and Heritage Friend, we ask that you stock products from at least 3 BAFTS members in your shop and commit to growing your fair trade offering over time.

In return, you’ll gain:
– a direct connection to Fair Trade suppliers who have genuine relationships with artisans and makers around the world;
– a deeper understanding of ethical supply chains;
– greater transparency as a business;
– a demonstrable commitment to Fair Trade;
– access to BAFTS events, annual conference, use of the logo and a proactive and passionate community of Fair Trade businesses.

Individuals and non-trading groups

We would love to include individuals and organisations with a strong commitment to Fair Trade and share the BAFTS ethos in our network.

Examples of Friends of BAFTS in this category are: Fairtrade towns, groups and individuals who work or volunteer in fields related to trade justice.

Your financial support means we can build campaigns and create content to further the fair trade message.

Testimonials

“Being a Friend of BAFTS means being part of a transformative movement for positive change. Not only do I have the privilege of connecting with inspiring individuals running Fair Trade businesses, but I also have the opportunity to deepen my understanding, expand my knowledge, and contribute to something greater.”

Friend of BAFTS

“Since 2020 we’ve been proud Friends of BAFTS. As a shop we pride ourselves on sourcing sustainable and fair trade products, so it matters to us to have the encouragement from an organisation whose ethos is just that. Being part of BAFTS has taught us more about the artisans and projects around the world and their skills; along with the principles of fair trade which has given us more confidence to promote this in our shop. I would recommend to others in the heritage sector to consider becoming a friend, at they will find this a valuable asset to their organisation.”
